Within the City of Clemson, and neighboring Town of Central (where many of our students reside in off-campus apartment complexes), a local ordinance is in place that mandates face coverings in public places. In addition, last week Gov. Henry McMaster signed an executive order prohibiting the sale of alcohol in bars and restaurants after 11 p.m. Members of our Healthy Campus team are also preparing: 1) educational training on the health risks associated with COVID through an online portal available to Clemson students, and 2) COVID-specific tool kits for off-campus apartment communities to share with occupants as well. Please know these are just a few of the things being done, but we understand the severity of this situation and leaders are consulting with medical experts to put us on what they feel is the best path forward.
